Connect & Reflect
Retreat

Sunday February 9th
9.30-4pm

"The point of a maze is to find its centre. The point of a labyrinth is to find your centre." Unknown source

Join us for a transformative day retreat ,where you can connect to horses and nature in a safe space dedicated to self-reflection and exploration, incorporating meditation, walking a labyrinth, art therapy and paddock time with the therapy horses.

Throughout very different ages, cultures and spiritual traditions labyrinths have been used as a way to enter into a contemplative state where the mind is at peace and the body is simply present. Travelling through a labyrinth can help us learn how to live one day, one hour, one minute at a time.

Join us for a day of meditation and exploration, bring a question or something you need to find clarity on.

When walking the labyrinth you will be asked to open your senses and focus on the process of taking slow and deliberate steps. Bring to mind a prayer or question to contemplate during the walk to the centre. With support from the group, through the creation and walking of the labyrinth you may find solutions or peace with a situation.

This will be followed by a reflective art therapy activity, and time in the paddock with the horses. Horses invite us to slow down, to be present, to be authentic and to truly connect—with ourselves, with them, and with others. They have the ability to be in the moment and to respond to our emotions, giving us gentle feedback without judgement.

The day is facilitated by Jen Chester, Art Therapist and Equine Assisted Therapist, and Laurie Fry of Embrace Counselling Services, a qualified Counsellor and Equine Assisted Therapist.
